Pastor Guel Sugano is from Philippines and a native from Baguio City. His family is residing in Pangasinan, Philippines. During his high school days, a missionary shared to him the gift of life and came to know and accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.
In 1992, he earned his diploma in Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Baguio Colleges Foundation. There after, he landed a job in Saudi Arabia, a country where Islamic religious law has to be strictly respected and observed. Despite the risk of actively involved in spreading the Christian faith in Saudi Arabia, he led an underground church movement, summer camps, prayer retreats, and evangelism among non-Christian groups and Muslims.
In 1995, Pastor Sugano moved to Hong Kong with his family for employment. While there, he pioneered a Filipino Christian fellowship and on that same year, he felt that God was calling him to prepare for a greater task. In 1998, he returned to the Philippines with his family, leaving their comfortable lives in Hong Kong to obey God and to study in the seminary.
In 2001, he graduated in Master of Arts in Ministry from Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary in Bagiuo City, Philippines.
In the past 18 years, Pastor Guel Sugano has served as a church planter and a pastor in different countries; Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Philippines and Canada. Pastor Sugano’s experiences in the life of church include leading a church revival, church planting, youth ministry, mission and evangelism, preaching and conducting weddings, funeral, child dedication and church ordinances.
Pastor Sugano is married to Jacqueline, a native from Pangasinan, Philippines. They were blessed with five daughters namely; Alpha, Bema, Canaan, Divine, and Esther. Jacqueline and their three younger children are currently in the Philippines but will be joining soon, here in Calgary, with Pastor Guel and the two older children Alpha and Bema,
